Blues dance course on 1st October!
A much awaited Blues Course now at SwingO! A Finnish blues dance guru Arja Sahlberg will arrive in Oulu on Saturday 1st of October 2022 to guide us through the basics of blues dancing. A relaxed and down to earth style is typical to blues and it is often danced to slow blues or swing music. It can be danced with a partner or solo – or a combination of these. Please join us in the blues fever!
Free Lindy Hop taster on August 25th!
Come try Lindy Hop for free! Lindy Hop is a fun swing dance with a playful and laid-back nature with roots in the 1930's Harlem. Lindy Hop is a partner dance where everyone can move in their own way and develop their own style.
The free taster class will be held at Merikosken koulu (Merikoski school) on Thursday August 25th at 19.00-20.00. You can bring your own partner or come alone as we rotate partners during the class. Teacher for the taster class is Matleena Haapalainen who will also be teaching the beginners course that starts on September 14th. If you feel like Lindy Hop is the dance for you, information on the course and registration can be found at swingo.fi/dance-classes.
Please do not come to the taster class if you have flu symptoms. Let's all take care of hand hygiene (there is hand sanitizer available at the venue).

Spring 2022 courses
Registration for SwingO’s spring 2022 courses is now open! You will find the registration link and course information under Dance classes.
Registration time has been continued until January 14th, 2022 at 18.00. The start date for the courses will be announced later and can be found on our site under ‘Dance classes’. We will take into consideration the current covid restrictions.
Free taster class August 29th!

The free taster will be held at Merikosken koulu (Merikoski school) on Sunday August 29th at 15.00-16.00. Teacher is Matleena Haapalainen who will also be teaching on the beginners course that starts on September 15th. Please pay attention to the covid precautions. There is hand sanitizer available at the venue, using a mask is recommended.

Ilmoittautuminen kevään 2021 kursseille on auki 31.1.2021 klo 18.00 asti! Tarkat kurssitiedot ja ilmoittautuminen Tanssikurssit-sivulla. Jos rajoitukset jatkuvat 1.2. jälkeen, siirrämme kurssien aloitusajankohtaa.

Free Lindy Hop taster on September 3rd at 20.30-21.00!
Welcome to a free 30 min Lindy Hop taster class at Merikosken koulu (Itäkangastie 9, 90500 Oulu)! Previous experience is not required. This is a good chance to try Lindy Hop if you are thinking of participating in SwingO's courses. Last day to register to the courses is on 5th September at 18.00.
